the 58dbmv power level is high,this denotes (simply put) how hard your modem is having to try to connect to the network.it will go to 61dbmv then start to try again,so could be you need the levels upping from the cab,which would see the rtn path power level drop down.i.e. it wont be trying as hard to connect,any downward fluctuation in the levels off the amp will probably cause the modem to drop off when its this high.hope this helps.
