Display problem - Widescreen/Vista/GTS8800
I have a NVIDIA GTS 8800 640mb card and unless my monitor (Samsung BDW225) is active (not in power save mode or turned off) my machine will only show some resolutions and not the 1650x1080. I have to activate the monitor and then reboot.

I assume it's something to do with PNP but cannot get around it without a reboot.

Anyone else experience this or have a workaround?
