Remote Desktop Connection Issue, Only Happens On NTL

I have NTL freedom Broadband, i.e. NTL but over a BT line with an ADSL connection. I have always used remote desktop connection to access my home computer from work and vice versa, but since moving to NTL or whatever they are now I am unable to connect to my home computer remotely. This issue is only apparent when i want to connect to any computer in my home via my NTL Freedom connection. I recently went to a friends house (BT Broadband) and set up my laptop there and was able to access it remotely without any problems. I also connected remotely to my laptop from my NTL Freedom connection with the laptop connected using Vodafone mobile broadband and it worked fine. I have contacted NTL but they say the problem is with my equipment and that I should have it checked, but I have already tried 5 different modems and not one of them made a difference. I also made sure to forward all required ports ect ect. Has anybody else had a problem accessing Remote Desktop on a NTL Freedom connection? I also have problems accessing some webpage’s especially rapidshare and cannot stream anything from my connection, like when i wanted to set up a radio station or ftp server. I could not get them to work on my connection but they worked fine if I used another internet connection (not NTL).

Thanks in advance for any replies to this issue
