Migration number?
Can anyone advise if a migration number is required when moving from VM BB/phone to another ISP?
I am trying to set up a Talktalk ADSL modem for an elderly neighbour but neither the LINK nor ACT lights are lit on the Talktalk modem; it is plugged into the phone line.
The existing NTL modem however works fine (the account runs until 1st May) which makes me wonder if in fact the phone line has been switched from NTL to BT.
Not sure if NTL/VM do use the BT exchanges so not sure if this problem is down to 'tagging' or not.
Any help, apart from 'don't use talktalk' appreciated. She has already signed up for Talktalk.
