better hope your created website doent use CGI eather, as the ex-C&W/ex-NTL webspace doesnt allow even that, makes it almost useless for anything other than static html, will they ever allow it in the future who knows?..

just to be clear, you are NOT using i.am.the.user@ntlworld.com as the user name are you ,its i.am.the.user
and you have already tryed with a bog standard ftp client to connect and failed?.
