Actually for what the OP wants he may well be better with the Microsoft MCE Keyboard and remote set.
You need to buy the remote as the keyboard doesnt come with the sensor for some reason but the keyboard has a mouse built in so it will do everything the OP wanted, plus it deffinatley has the range.
