Sorry to bother you with a newby question and a problem of my own making.
I realised I had clicked on a malicious website (yes I should of known better) when my browser started refreshing and clicking away. After a rootkit check, virus check with avast (which needed a reinstall) Kerio came up enquiring if XXXXX whatever the IP was (can't remember) was a trusted source. I denied it but couldn't connect back then to the net.
Reboot and all was well. Just to make sure I used the
http://root:root@192.168.100.1/ to check my IP. It came up with this 10.213.51.149 which looked suspiciously like the dodgy one kerio flagged earlier. My normal IP 82.3 XXXX shows in my browser and various IP checks. However when I put in the 10.213.51.149 IP from root:root @ 192 it goes to the states.
So please excuse my ignorance does 10.213.51.149 reflect my IP or is it do with the NTL server which is supposed to be Watford. Have the peeps on the website I visited already proxied my IP so I believe my IP is ok but in fact it isn't? So what is the purpose, in IP terms of root@root @192 telling me the IP?
Many thanks for your time.
