1) Is the cat5 cable connecting your router to the modem a straight-through or a crossover cable? It is the same cable I used to connect the router when I had my STB 4MB connection. The only thing that has changed is the STB has gone and I now have a modem (and 4mb to 10mb)

2) In the status page, what are the exact values given for DNS address, default gateway, etc? (Referring to the external connection)
Will add these when I get home

3) What is the exact model of your cable modem?
NT250

4) Does the router config page register a connection or no connection?
It registers no connection. I have restored, firmware upgraded, reset, mac cloned not mac cloned etc etc went through wverything with Belkin Customer Support

5) Do you have any screenshots?
of what ?
Let me know and I will happily email them to you.

I have odd times with my equipment, but I'm sure I can find a solution for you.
Russel - gutted to hear you have the same problem. It's doing my head in. And I haven't even switched to Vista. Just a straight swap from STB to modem.

Still waiting for Belkin replacement. 12 days now.
