Scholes gets one match ban for red card

Scholes started the quarter-final first leg match with two yellow cards against his name following bookings against Benfica and Celtic in the group stage and incurred an automatic ban after being booked in the 26th minute on Wednesday.
Although he was sent off eight minutes after that for a second bookable offence, his punishment remains a one-match ban and he will miss the return leg against Roma next Tuesday but be eligible to play if United reach the semi-finals.
