Maybe ime reading something wrong here your mentioning up to 300mbs ??? Most websites are only a few megabytes maybe no bigger than 10mb for a seriously large website. Unless your using media such as movies or sound/music.
As for 8443, this is a port protocol, a protocol used for sharing data between computers.
