I don't think it's a fault. As I say, during the day I get the fastest speed possible 1.14MB/s ish. It's once it hits 6pm that suddenly I get 600k. Well, it's slightly below that. I can't see it being a contention issue, as I am sure not every neighbour comes home at exactly 6pm. But sure enough that's when the speed drops.

It's not a major issue. But to be fair, I am close enough to an exchange to get faster speeds than 10meg. Which makes £37 per month compared to UKonlines £19.99 looks rather cheap.

And of course, Skys offer look bloody marvellous.

Oh and yeah, still can't quite get my head around calling them Virgin. And yes the girls on the phone were naughty using tactics like that in order to try and keep me as a customer. And yes, when working properly, I prefer the "stability" of cable over ADSL. Just shocked they are increasing prices, when all around people seem to be dropping them.
