Yep, as Zingle says, it does depend on the line quality and how far you are from the exchange.

The list of equipment is pretty much correct.
- 1 wireless ADSL router
- PCI wireless cards for each of your PC's.
Check to see if the laptops are already wireless enabled. If they are not, then a wireless PCMCIA card or wireless usb stick.

- One ethernet cable. Costs about 50p. You might even get one bundled.
You need to use it to set up your connection once. Then you can go wireless.
