My vote is another for the 54G (or 54GL as it would need to be now) with DD-WRT. It does run on other routers these days, but the 54G has a brilliant track record. If it helps, IIRC, Linksys was bought by Cisco a while back to serve the domestic market.
Linksys = Cisco - Voila!
