Re: Broadband Sharing by Router - A Step By Step Guide

The article is excellent and very informative for me as a new member. However my problem is that I am about to set up a home Wi-Fi network (2 PC's and a Laptop). I currently have an NTL set top box which delivers Internet via the inbuilt modem by cable to one of my PC's. I then share the Internet connection with the other PC by cable and hub method.

Can someone confirm that my understnding of my requiremensts are correct:

Wi-Fi router WAN port connected by cable to the NTL set top box.
Each PC or Laptop to have a Wi-Fi card installed in it plus software

No cable connection between Wi-Fi Router and any PC
No need to use NTL Broadband Installation software on any PC or Laptop

Is this the correct configuration or am I wrong somewhere, I do not wanmt to buy Wi-Fi hardware which is incorrect for my needs.

Any answers would be greatly appreciated.
