Re: New Samsung Cable Box does not operate with Infrared Repeater

Thank for replies. All very helpful. Only thing is the method I use for a repeater is an injected IR feed into the coax which is broken out to a mini emitter on the front of the source component in the lounge. This is how the triax system I used in the past works.

I liked it because it was neat (no extra cables besides coax) and no large transmitter to be placed in front of components to provide coverage. I do not have any space to place the transmitter in front of my Hi Fi / TV rack.

I wonder if any Forum users have used a cat5 or preferrably injected RF repeater system successfully?
