I presume you only have the one Sky Set Top Box (STB) and the output from that is sent to the other room, either via an coaxial or perhaps some form of video sender unit. Your remote controller also operates the STB via some sort of wireless.

If I'm correct that that is how you do it, then yes you can create a similar setup for the cable based STB. However it does depend on the STB itself what type of digisender or digieye you need. Some of STBs used a less standard IrDA remote signalling method, whilst many use the more standard IR or RC5 signals.

As stated above the altentaive is to have two STBs, perhaps the V+ STB in your living room, with a standard V box in the second room. The second STB adds £5.00 a month to your TV costs if you are on the upper TV packages.
