Re: Netgear/Xbox/NTL NAT settings

Hi, what sort of Netgear router do you have?

Does it support uPnP and if so, do you have it enabled in the configuration?

Xbox live requires ports 88UDP and 3074TCP/UDP open to function correctly. Enabling uPnP, if available, should allow your console to open these ports on the router automatically.

If your router does not support uPnP you will need to assign a reserved DHCP IP address to your console and manually forward the above ports to that address.

Alternatively you can place your console in the Router's DMZ to bypass the it's firewall and NAT function.
