If I bypass the router the modem works fine, but as I don't use the computer that is wired directly very often I really wouldn't know how long the connection lasts over a long period. I guess I would have to sit there all day to find out if the connection drops! The modem I have is just the little silver one with NTL written on it, doesn't say anything else.
