When I transferred from a STB CM to a stand alone CM all I had to do was transfer the cat5 cable and reprovision the router via autoreg.

You shouldn't neeed to migrate anything as your PC connections will still be behind the router.

If you were to keep your current STB as a second box you could just install a longer cat5 cable and keep the STB supplying your BB, I think.
