I would be going for the black model.

Although a 12x zoom is good, I think they are a little expensive for me. I want to try and not go above Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£160-200 if possible.
3x zoom should be fine for what I would use it for.

I was looking at one of the Canon's earlier and Nikon cameras as I used to have a Nikon Coolpix but they seem to have got bulkier and plastic looking.
This Sony seems a better build.
