I think he meant that his current mobile contract is coming to an end, not his cable contract.

I was in exactly the same situation - I asked Virgin what would happen when my TV / Internet and phone services came up for renewal - would I be failed on the credit check again and lose these services ?
They told me that those would be OK, as I have already been supplied them.

Its all very strange
