Your exchange may not have them but Sky BB covers more of the UK than cable. Mr Murdoch's cash pays for a lot of exchange rollout.

Ethernet. The absolute best for UKOnline are the Billion routers, but they are a touch expensive. Otherwise pretty much any router is fine, Netgear GT is ok
