I agree that phoning retentions just to get it cheaper is not on, you knew the price when you joined / upgraded, if you are not happy, downgrade or leave.

I left NTL a while back, was on 4Mbit for Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£25 pm, I was happy, but moved to BT's adsl max, but was only getting 2Mbit maximum.

Phoned VM 2 days ago, being installed next wednesday, Telephone line, evening and weekend calls and 10Mbit BB for Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£32.50 PM, saving almost Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£20 pm on the combined price.

Now this discount is justified because as a new customer, I did not haggle the price, that is the price I was quoted.
