That's what I thought too but I can apparently do a 'Quickstart' installation as detailed here -

I'll get the modem tomorrow or the next day so I'll let you know what's in the box. To be honest, I'm not going to try and install it until the day before the V+ box is installed in case it kills my signal. I know my signal levels are on the edge right now so I'm not taking any risks, the Mrs will kill me!
