Questions about VOD films on Virgin firmware

Is it true that:

1) You can no longer resume watching a film brought from VOD on the new Virgin software?

and

2) You can only watch a film once within the 24 hour rental period?

I would test this myself, but I don't want to spend at least £3.00 just to find out. Point number 2 especially would put me off watching VOD movies again.
