This was an ideal opportunity for ntl/telewest/virgin to compete with sky and carphone/talktalk.

So what do they do? They keep their pricing the same as before.

All they really needed to do was create a package like carphone/talktalk Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£20/month for phoneline, unlimited uk calls & broadband and everyone would be happy.

I admit their 2mb broadband is probably better than carphone/talktalk 8mb broadband
BUT
Their TV basic package is not much better than Freeview as far as I can see.
There are plenty of cheap mobile phone alternatives.

So what are they offering new customers?

What are they offering existing customers?
