Thanks for your reply, I'm camping at this thread cause I'm testing everything I can do at the moment, I'm so frustrated lol. I don't know what you mean by a Line test, if you mean network tests like TCP/IP and packet management, it's all optimised.

I could try moving the PC temporarily next to the 1st BT Phone line in the other room (A kitchen I might add....) but it can't be there forever. If I find that it's faster without the long line extension I can't really do anything about it cause it can't stay in the kitchen lol. It's an ordinary BT line extension that I bought like 1 or 2 years ago... I wouldnt think there would be a high graded copper in a high-end extension cable that would improve speeds? If so, I guess that would improve speeds but... my biggest bet is that the USB cable is slowing things down.
