Yes, it is off topic, and as such, should be discussed in another thread.

Regarding the differences between NTL and Telewest. The answer is simple. When two companies merge, it takes a few days to peform the name change (changing legal documentation, changing letterheads) However,merging the various systems used by both companies takes considerably longer (hardware, software upgrades, departmental changes, merges, etc).

NTL and Telewest will both eventually offer exactly the same products/services, but it will take time.
