thanks for this. i knew the dns settings for ntl anyway

even adding the dns servers did not work (see my last post). I configured my new PC last night and after resetting my NTL modem and Belkin Router found that I had a wireless connection yayyyy \o/

I guess the problem was with my old PC which was only running Win 98
