I recently got upgraded to up to 8mb, can get about 5mb.
Anyway, downloading torrents has always been a problem and getting more than 40kb/s has been a real struggle.
I always thought torrents were just slow, end of. But then i saw people were getting 200kb/s, so i decided to investigate, i opened ports tried different clients, different computers on my network...
finally come to the conclusion its bt's fault.
So, surely there must be some way around this?

option 3 has now gone unlmited however also they've introduced traffic shaping at peak times.
If the exchange VP status is red it means the pipes out are congested and they are even more likely to shape p2p traffic.

Peak time evenings 6pm - midnight you will find bittorent hevily throttled (around 20kb/s), after midnight you'll probbaly find it suddenly shoots up.
