Crossover cable between the two would be the best IMO and the simplest.

Why you need jumbo packets though is beyond me for this application.

If you loose one packet or a packet is delayed thats a lot of info in one packet lost, if anything lots of small packets may be better seeing as bandwidth aint a problem.
