Nope - these are generic windows drivers not hardware drivers

Think you may have given me an idea to install a spare secondary firewire card and try installing the manufactors drivers but I get the nasty feeling that why would not have writted any 1394 net drivers and hence microsofts generic net driver takes over

Sacking this idea altogether windows fails me yet again.

I'll connect the two directly with a couple of gigabit cards and cable.
