Re: [Merged] Snow !

Well, anyone in the Glossop area get caught out today ? I did, on the way to a job, travelling along the A628 ( about 12 miles east of Glossop ) when all of a sudden, bang, the temperature dropped, the rain on the road got buried and froze under the now fast falling snow, a couple of miles on and we were stuck, along with about 40 - 60 cars, lorries and a bike. With a combination of pushing, sliding and a lot of luck, we managed to get turned around and finally got back home, job cancelled.

What surprised me was just how quick the snow settled on the wet road, as I said, the temp just plummeted, oh well, here's to winter
