doubt a dodgy dvi cable as it was working with my 5900xt...just cant get it working with the x800xt

Yes zing both cables are installed.

I just tried setting my monitor to digital and unplugged the vga cable when i pressed ok to detect but still went to black screen and the light on my monitor went from blue to amber like it does when there is no input
