You've got two ethernet cables there (one for modem to router, one for router to PC) - do neither of these light up the ethernet LED on the modem?
Is the PC able to communicate with the router when plugged in to one of the Lan ports? (try browsing to the admin web page, often http://192.168.1.1 (or look up in router manual!))
