If you can get through to the admin page (192.168.1.1) then there is a working link to the router.
Go in to the Status page of the router and tell us the beginning and end of the WAN IP address (eg 80.X.X.80). The router's 'Admin' tab also allows you to do a diagnostic Ping or Trace Route.

BTW, how are you able to post? You have still got a USB cable plugged into the modem do you?
