Problems with AOL/NTL getting frustrated now..........

Hi all, I'm new to all this networking stuff so please forgive me for asking what may be stupid questions...... I am trying to connect both my laptop and desktop wirelessly at the same time to my ISP AOL via NTL cable. I have a Linksys WRT54GS-UK broadband router, with a Linksys WUSB54GS-UK USB network adapter for my PC and a wireless card in my Laptop.

So Far I have managed to get the desktop working wirelessly and the laptop working wirelessly individually at seperate times, of which I am proud of myself!! However with either one of these connections enabled I am unable to connect the other device (using different user accounts).

In order to connect to the internet on the other computer I have to switch the modem & router off and on again. It seems to work as first come, first served system, the secondary machine stating it is unable to establish a DSL connection.

I am sure it is a really simple thing but I just cant get my head around it.
Sorry if this isn't explained very clearly... Can anyone suggest anything?
