Re: Flashing WRT54G Firmware

Even if you get a V5 or 5.1 DD-WRT Micro will still work on it I'm using it now in that particular setup (V5.1 with DD-WRT V23 SP2) works like a charm, except i find with my heavy usage i had to set it up to reboot itself at 5am everyday (can be set for any time, or however many minutes you like)

Also, you should look at other routers that DD-WRT supports, things like the Buffalo models are now supported. (link: http://www.dd-wrt.com/shop/catalog/index.php?cPath=1_21)
Also, if you really need specialist bandwidth restriction etc there is a special version of DD-WRT with this built in, however it will cost you a few bob (20 Euros)

EDIT: And if you need to boost the signal distance, how about some free and cheap to make antennas? http://www.freeantennas.com/

EDIT2: For later versions, see this post here: http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/sh...ad.php?t=53085
