only the top light is showing - presumably bottom light means internet connection?

Fair play, i saw NTl's BB helpline is open to midnight 7 days a week which i didn't expect to be open on a sunday night, rang them, the wait to be dealt with was minimal once I'd got passed the recorded messages & the guy said straight away that BR1 & BR2 areas have a major problem which won't be fixed until Monday evening. Shame the ntl website doesn't have this on the problem page as would have saved me the call & time spent rebooting & checking cables etc.
