Couple of things I should correct:

1) As stated above, the 384K upload could be a typo on the site. Before we all start bitching, it might be an idea to wait and see if it's true.
2) The 20 meg trial was just that: a trial. NTL have a lot of trials for various speeds and technologies. It doesn't automatically follow that they are going to offer those speeds and technologies any time soon (if at all).

Bill should. He did (and still does, I believe) work for NTL. He probably knows a lot of people involved in the Broadband network.

Put it this way: I would be more likely to trust that whatever Bill (and various other staff) is true than a rumour.
