What section of the "wiring from the pole" are you worried about? If it's the drop wire then you will need to show BT/ whoever that a fault is occuring (noise on line etc) if it's the cabling within premises then you will again have to prove a fault for BT/ whoever to look at it. If you want to PAY BT to re-wire your line then I would expect it to run something close to £200 and you will have to book an engineer to come out and do it.
