You follow who you want to follow, most people who dislike Man Utd are usually jealous because of a superior history of success, but as you know (and they do not seem to realise) it has not always been that way.
United were relegated to the then 2nd division of the football league in 1974, but the club sustained good attendances during the following season, in fact I think it increased overall compared to previous seasons. (It must have been all those glory hunters
