Yes 2mbit is fine. Your best bet is to buy a router, see this

Please note that if you're on ADSL and not NTL you will need an ADSL router and not the one in the link i posted.
You will also need the
Xbox 360 wireless adaptor which costs around £55. Although if you don't want to use it wirelessly you can use it via the ethernet cable.
