Basically registered to say thanks, had problems the last 2 days (Surrey) with what I guess to be DNS/reverse DNS problems. ie pinging
www.bbc.co.uk taking ages to initially find then ping is OK while pinging by IP address is instant.
Changed proxy as per OP, everything is hunky dory. Thanks JoeBloggs
