Anyone use eSata
If where how do you power the drive? My mobo has it its just a connector for an external serial ata cable from what I can see but there is nowhere on the IO plate to power the drive.
When sata first come out boards used to come with adapters which could turn 2 sata ports internally to external and this adapter had a standard male molex adapter attached and came with female to female molex cable to power the drive (this was before drives had the new power fitting but can be adapted anyway) Ive found enclosures that power the drive and give esata connectivity is this the only way without routing a cable out the back of the case
