I'm in Bexley (south London) and am stuck on the Bromley proxies (which are always rubbish). I tend to switch to Brentford or Ashford proxies and it speeds up dramatically. Although the other day I noticed that Bromley-5 was quick (actuall 10mb! Woo! who'd have thought it?)

I honestly can't understand why ntl can't invest in a network where proxies arn't needed. Buy some bandwidth ya tight buggers!

I've just upgraded our work internet connection from 2mb leased line to 100mb leased line. Takes 4 months to install though
