I've connected with an optical digital connection, and I can confirm 5.1.
I was watching the trailers. The little BBCHD ident between trailers really gets the sub rumbling!

I had forgotten to switch off the HDMI override - was getting 5.1 but it was really crackly - and fine on other channels via PCM - will try again tonight might be dodgy connection
