Hmmm, I wonder if it has taken the MAC address of your Xbox as the registered address for your internet... I would connect everything back up to the PC and then turn off your cable modem for about 5 mins and then turn it back on.... This clears the entries in the modem and will startup again with your PC MAC address etc... I have had this problem but not with an XBOX.

You can't go wrong with the DSL router that PC World are selling for Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£39.99 which includes a USB adaptor for another PC/Laptop.... I have one of these as my last DLINK packed up... Very easy to setup if you are unsure on how to configue a router... This would be ideal to connect your XBox up to as it would allow upto 4 cable connections and offer wireless if required.
