Unhappy Only hand full of channels working from 5pm

Today, while watching Sally on itv2, the channels suddenly went blank (at about 5pm). I tried channels surfing and found that 90% (if not more) of the Select Pack channels were "dead". I went to the Guide, and also noticed that some of the channels where greyed, as i was not subscribed to them, which is clearly part of the Select Pack.

So i called CS, and heard that there's a known problem with UKTV channels nationally, and intermittent loss of TV in the CB2, CB4 (among other) postcode areas. As i'm in CB1, i held on, and got through to an agent instantly. I was told that he will transfer me to the faults Dept but that i'd have a 7min wait, before i even told him about the problem. So, i asked him about it. he said that he isn't aware of any problems but that there might be one, as they've noticed a sudden surge to calls to CS. He sugested i waited 1hr, and then call again if everything isn't back up.

So, at 6pm, i called again, got put through to Faults (after waiting for some time). The CS Agent at the Faults Dept said they'd sent a signal down to the box which should reset things, but that it could take up to 2hours. Then about 15 minutes ago they called back asking if the channels were back, which they weren't. The agent then said that the "signal" has been sent through so all should be well, but seeing as i stil have problems, they'd need to send out a technician to check out the STB (which is a Pace, a 4001 i think).

I've only had ntl Digital TV for slightly over a month now, and already problems. I've also noticed some break-ups in some channels every now and then, and that the video on On Demand content would sometimes freeze every few conds, while the audio continue's as normal. At first i thought it would just be a problem at the headend, but with this i'm now wondering if its related. Also, the box freezes quite alot, and can be slow to respond to remote commands (sometimes taking a few minutes).

Anyway, i wanna know if any other people are having problems? Just before the channels went blank the Guide information also went out of synch, and got stuck on information starting at 1pm.
Now that all the channels are dead there's not even Guide data for the ones that are dead, only the working channels, which are: Five, More4, More4+1, Price Drop TV & Gems TV.

Anyone else having problems, or have any ideas.
