
to the forum. I personally wouldn't bother with Broadband Medic at all. You don't need it (or any ntl software) to access broadband.
You do need a good firewall, good antivirus and good antispyware software though.
For firewall, I recommend Sunbelt Kerio firewall (although it now costs $20). For Antivirus, I would recommend
Avast Antivirus, and for spyware, I recommend Adaware (

http://www.safer-networking.org/ ) and Spywareguard & blaster (
http://www.javacoolsoftware.org/ )
The Antivirus, and the antispyware software is free.
